Materials for this collection: acrylic, ink, silver and gold leaf, epoxy resin on hardboard. Some artists work on several pieces at once, but that gives me low level anxiety; I see all these paintings that need finishing and I get overwhelmed. Instead I soldier through each painting from start to finish and then begin the next. I think that is why I like working with a theme, it serves as a touchstone and guides me through the dips and valleys until I can complete a series. Having said that, I do like to experiment and these are a few pieces that I enjoyed making in between.
